Nice campground
My wife and I were on a business trip from the Philadelphia area to Elkhart, IN when a Turkey Vulture intercepted the windshield of our truck. My wife got covered in glass but otherwise unhurt. Fortunately we were only a mile from the Somerset exit of the PA turnpike. Unfortunately it was Sunday morning and getting the glass replaced was not going to happen. Since we were pulling our fifth wheel travel trailer we decided we should find a campground (not always so easy as it was pre-season) and hope to get repaired on Monday. Calls to several campgrounds in the area were either unanswered or voice mail boxes that were never returned with one exception. Lynn returned our call promptly, said she could accommodate us, and gave us directions. Lynn, Buck, and Bill helped us settle in with more hospitality than we could image. Realizing that we were several miles from restaurants or grocery stores (No food on board so I was worried about lunch and dinner!) I thought I would have to drive the truck, broken windshield and all, into town to get some supplies. Buck, thinking this would be unsafe, offered us his pickup to go on an errand run. This was really going above and beyond, my only regret is that I didn't wash his pickup when I returned it!!!
Amazing staff and customer service. They were more than willing to accommodate my shifting travel plans. The deer are a cool touch! Highly recommend.
The staff at Lost Mountain are very accommodating, friendly, and willing to go above an beyond to help. The sites are HUGE and provide for a better camping experience than most other places in the area. The facilities are well kept and clean. You get a pretty good amount of Firewood for what you pay for, unlike some other places. It is very quiet and peaceful, and people are respectful of the quiet time. Lots of trails nearby and just minutes to Seven Springs.
I accidentally left without paying for the site and the owner/operator called me . She was very understanding and told me to send a check. I felt terrible about the mistake after having been treated so kindly for two weekends in a row at such great rates. We will definitely be going back here next year for an extended stay.
