It's a large and lovely facility. The shops and restaurant on the first floor are charming. The banquet and catering facility in the second floor are first rate. I would certainly recommend the Opera House for any function.
There are not a lot of options in Rockwood, so I'm glad it is here. I had a chef's salad, that was pretty basic, but at least it was generously sized. I then had some ice cream at the adjacent sweets place. They must not sell a lot, at least in October, because many of the containers had ice crystals and the ice cream tasted dried out. Strangely, the young man also said they had no toppings - no hot fudge, chocolate sauce etc. First time i've seen that.
Very nice little store with individualized shops .can find many different things some ordinary, some rustic, some not .
Nice lunch stop if you're cycling the C&O. Soup, sandwiches, and a nice assortment of desserts.
one of the best eatery stops off the bike trail. quick bike ride from the trail, lots of parking for shuttles or vehicles with trailers too! hot food menu, fresh salads, and local ice cream! huge mill shoppe in back too if want to buy locally made or farmed products.
